Clinton Main Street’s mission is to heighten the awareness of Clinton’s Downtown
square district and preserve its historical element utilizing a plan comprised of
revitalization, renovation and promotion developed by committees and volunteers
derived from downtown business owners committed to involvement in the
preservation and success of Clinton’s downtown community.
Collaborating with other sectors of the community such as the Chamber of
Commerce and the City, Clinton Main Street is committed to preserving Clinton,
Missouri’s history and making downtown Clinton the center of the community as well
as a viable contributor to Clinton’s economy.

Diane Hannah, Executive Director, has been the
director of Clinton Main Street for five years but was
involved as a volunteer since the beginning in 1989.
In fact, Diane served as the charter president in
1990, and was again serving as president in 2002
when she sold her business on the square and
joined the staff of Clinton Main Street. Having been
in the retail business for 25 years, Diane has a good
feel for retail as well as being well-acquainted with
the Main Street Four-Point Approach. Diane knows
the Clinton Historic Square District very well and
enjoys working with the businesses and volunteers.
Glenda Hann, Immediate Past President, is a home-town girl that has been the
assistant Henry County Clerk for many years. Glenda is very active in Chamber
and other civic and social activities in Clinton as well as having served as the Main
Street president several years ago. Glenda and her husband have two sons and
two grandchildren. Glenda is a great leveling influence on the Main Street board
of directors.
Bud Hayes, Economic Restructuring Chairman, is the Executive Director of the
Kaysinger Basin Regional Planning Commission. In that role, Bud works economic
development every day with many different communities. His experience is a great
asset to the Main Street board.

Jim Oder is the President for 2008. Jim is the State Farm Agent in
Clinton and his office is in one of the oldest buildings on the square. Jim has
been in Clinton for only two years and believes that downtown Clinton is the
heart of the business community. Jim comes from a management
background with the State Farm Company. He brings a quiet style to the
board of directors while contributing a great deal of thoughtfulness to the
decision-making process.

Barry Glasscock, Secretary, has been part of Clinton Main Street, Inc since its
inception in 1989. Barry is a jeweler by trade, owns Glasscock Jewelry Corner on
the square as well as a number of renovated rental properties in the downtown
district. Barry has an extensive knowledge of historic architecture and what is
appropriate in restoration.
Ernie Staashelm, Treasurer, came to Clinton from Sedalia in 2004 with his family.
Ernie is with UMB Bank and spends time in both Clinton and Warsaw working with
commercial lending. He is also very active in the community with church and
Optimist responsibilities. Ernie has a great capacity for attention to detail and is a
big asset on the Main Street board of directors.
Thelma Decker, Promotion Chairman, is recently retired from her business on
the Historic Square. Thelma has spent 40 years in business, all in downtown
Clitnon, and has volunteered for nearly every responsibility there is at Clinton Main
Street. She was awarded "Board Member of the Year" for 2007. She is working
with a large group of volunteers to see that our Promotions remain strong and
productive.
