Clinton Parks and Recreation Department

The Clinton Park and Recreation Department offers many indoor and outdoor activities within the community for you to enjoy. The Clinton Community Center on East Sedalia Avenue houses the Clinton Park and Recreation Department offices. Clinton has four parks to choose from, two of which include ball fields, and two additional sport complexes.

Youth programs include T-ball, coach-pitch, girls’ softball, Little League baseball, basketball, basketball camp, a track and field day, tennis lessons, youth soccer, and soccer camp.

Adult programs include men’s and women’s basketball leagues, mini tri-althon, duathlon, Tae Kwon Do classes, aerobics, senior citizens “No Sense Olympics”, a health and fitness day, men’s and co-ed slow pitch softball league, and women’s and co-ed volleyball league.

The department also has two swimming facilities. The newly renovated outdoor pool at Artesian Park is equipped with a new water slide and a splash-and-play area.

The all-new indoor pool is located at the Community Center and is equipped with an enclosed slide, a kiddie play center, a regular swimming area, and a hot tub.

Artesian Park, West Allen Street , is the largest park in Clinton. Housed on 11 acres, it is home to the outdoor pool, six shelter houses, tennis courts, horseshoe pits, three playground areas, a large amphitheater, a sandlot and volleyball court, basketball court, two softball fields, and a 1+ mile walking trail.

Hurt Park, North Main and Pine Street, is on 1 ½ acres and includes two shelter houses, horseshoe pits, playground equipment, basketball court, and a grass infield with a backstop.

Antioch Hills Park , North Antioch Road , sits on eight acres and includes a small playground.

Optimist Park, East Franklin and East Green, has two shelter houses, two playgrounds, a basketball court, and a multipurpose ball field on its three acres.

The Wagoner Complex at the corner of Sedalia Avenue and 52 Highway is a 19-acre park with two ball fields, bleachers, and an announcer’s stand.

The 18 ½ acre Clinton Soccer Complex at Calvird Drive and Hormeyer Street has six soccer fields and concession stands.
